I am surprised to see low reviews. Even nearly 12 years later, the content of this book is wonderful and applicable. As a former school principal and site administrator (beginning around the time the book came out) and as someone who currently works with school leaders across over 20 districts, I find this work profound. Just last week, we looked at her work on breaking dependencies with a coaching network who is working with new administrators.Practical, stands the test of time, grounded in the educational context.

This book was okay. It did not have the content that I was hoping for based on the topic of the book. The delivery was phenomenal and so was the condition.

This book really came in handy for my class, thank you.

Needed this book for a research paper and I was only able to use very little in the book for the class. Not what I thought what the book was about.
